About this Event
FIELD TRIP TO HONEYBEE CENTRE
Educating our community and beyond is something everyone at Honeybee Centre is passionate about. Since our very first hive got busy (a long, long time ago), we’ve been offering interactive presentations and tours to share the magical world of bees with as many people as possible.
Our Honeybee Centre Classroom provides a fun and engaging space for students to truly experience bees. Our program is aligned with the BC Curriculum and covers topics such as bee biology, life cycles, beekeeping, pollination, environmental stewardship, and more.
Each lesson is paired with hands-on, interactive activities (because bees don’t sit still, and neither do students!) and includes bee-friendly flower seed planting for students to take home.
We wrap up each visit with a honey tasting and a walk past our indoor observation hive.
