In collaboration with the Charles Schwab Foundation, Regions Bank and the Federal Reserve (Bank) Education, we will bring a Summer 2026 Financial Literacy Workshop: Money Matters to the Boys & Girls Club of Southwest MS in McComb and Tylertown. Our workshop is designed to teach real-world skills in budgeting, saving, investing, and debt management.Each session will focus on fostering long-term financial stability, career preparation, and understanding the basics of money. Key aspects of our Financial Literacy Workshop include:
Core Skills: Training in budgeting, saving, investing, and understanding credit. Targeted Education: Participants in grades 4 - 5 (elementary), 6 - 8 (middle school) and 9 - 12 (high school) with grade level and age-appropriate curricula. Goal Setting: Encouraging the development of short-term and long-term financial goals. Consumer Protection: Information on avoiding scams and managing debt. Practical Application: Hands-on experiences like "Reality Stores" to simulate real-world financial decision-making.
At the completion of our Financial Literacy Workshop, participants will receive gift bags filled with goodies and a Certificate of Completion for recognition of their hard work, dedication and commitment to excellence.
