About this Event
Join in for a night of meditative paper marbling at McCarren Parkhouse. Led by Kelly Laughlin, artist, writer, and founder of Odette Press, you'll learn the basics of the Suminagashi marbling process. Find creative flow as you make your own marbled paper.! Sign up today for this creative experience.
Truly a meditative class, this process is simple, inspiring, and relaxing. Translating to "floating ink" or "spilled ink" suminagashi is the process of swirling colorful inks on the surface of water.
You'll learn the basics of the paper marbling process, then spend your time making a collection of marbled prints. This soothing, inspiring class is great for beginners, or anyone looking for a creative night. No experience necessary!
Come alone, or bring a friend, and make a moment for creative calm in the middle of a busy week. Grab a drink from the Parkhouse bar and flow with the marbling process: ink, breath, water, and paper.
