About this Event
Ground into your creative practice and learn the art of Suminagashi: Meditative Paper Marbling at The Guesthouse Hotel located on Chicago’s north side at the crossroads of Andersonville Uptown, Lincoln Square, and Ravenswood.
In this workshop, you'll use colorful inks and the flow of water to create one-of-a-kind marbled papers and a marbled silk bandana.
Translating to "floating" or "spilled" ink, Suminagashi is the ancient, meditative Japanese art of paper marbling. Inspired by designs in nature, and guided by Kelly Laughlin, founder of Odette Press, you'll connect to creativity through ink, breath, paper, silk, and water, and leave feeling inspired.
Ticket includes all materials, and no experience is necessary.
