Luis is a Venezuelan violinist with an active international career as a soloist, orchestral musician, and pedagogue.
Cuevas has received top honors in major international competitions, including First Prize and Grand Prix at the Young Classical Virtuosos of Tomorrow Competition, First Prize at the Maurice Hasson National Violin Competition, and the Temple University Concerto Competition. He has also been a semifinalist at the Sphinx Competition and a scholarship recipient at the Aspen Music Festival and School.
Cuevas has performed with the Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra under Gustavo Dudamel, as well as with the Lancaster Symphony Orchestra, Allentown Symphony Orchestra, Symphony in C, Pennsylvania Philharmonic, and The Orchestra San
Antonio.
