Bob Widgren will take us on a journey along the Rio de Los Pinos, a remarkable river flowing nearly 40 miles through the scenic landscapes of southern Colorado. Listen while Bob guides us through this beautiful river corridor, sharing insights into its fishery, history, and character. Rising in high-country headwaters and eventually merging with the San Antonio River, the Rio de Los Pinos offers a unique blend of exceptional fishing, rich history, and quiet exploration. Anglers may encounter the native Rio Grande Cutthroat trout, while all who visit will discover a river steeped in stories. The waters of the Los Pinos have been traveled for generations—first by Native American tribes, and later by Hispano pioneers—each leaving their mark on this enduring landscape. Along the Rio de Los Pinos, every cast carries the promise of discovery and stories worth telling.
