This interactive training is designed to strengthen the skills and confidence of youth-serving mental health professionals in responding to children and adolescents at risk of suicide and self-injury. Participants will deepen their understanding of evidence-informed prevention and intervention strategies, documentation practices, and collaborative approaches that support safety and continuity of care for high-risk youth. The session includes didactic content on lethal means safety, in-vivo practice of conversations with youth and caregivers and applied strategies for supporting students with recurrent suicidal ideation or non-suicidal self-injury (NSSI). Emphasis is placed on compassionate, direct communication, interdisciplinary collaboration, and practical tools participants can immediately apply in their professional settings.
The ADAMHS Board will award the CEUs/RCHs and put into CE Broker within 30 days following the training. Thank you for attending.
