Suhina Klubi serves as a platform for improvised and experimental music and sound art within Helsinki. During the year 2025, we present improvised music ensembles from Finland and abroad.In the first edition of Suhina Klubi for the fall 2025, we are proud to host Philip Holm.
Philip Holm performs solo with instruments built out of an old sewing machine and a typewriter. The music played on the tailor's fiddle and poet's piano is moving in the borderlands of meditative ambient music and noise. Born and based in Helsinki, Holm plays in groups such as Barlast, Oiro Pena, and Buko Shane. In 2023, he released his solo debut album with the tailor's fiddle.
