Jacob from the UW Extension will teach us all about pollinators and how we can better support them in our own landscapes and communities. We will explore the essential elements pollinators need to thrive, including habitat, diverse food sources throughout the growing season, and access to clean water. Participants will learn about native bees and other important pollinating insects, why they matter, and practical steps they can take to create welcoming spaces in their yards and gardens. Participants will have the opportunity to build small bee homes to take with them, helping to provide nesting sites for solitary bees.Free and open to the public, registration appreciated.
