You are invited to the next major SubLunar event at our community space at 116 Spadina on Halloween night!Samhain is one of the the traditional pagan sabbats, taking place on the 31s of October. Originally celebrated as the Celtic new year, and also the Roman festival of Feralia, it is one of the four fire sabbats in the pagan traditions, celebrated with large community bonfires. It was these traditions that eventually became Halloween.
In the pagan traditions it is considered a liminal time when the veil between the worlds of the living and the dead are blurred, and a time to celebrate the spirits of the dead.
Expect a musical AND visual feast, as we transform our space into a container for dance and ceremony.

SubLunar Community Arts Society is a non-profit organization that seeks to address the growing issue of social isolation by promoting collaborative art projects, shared experiences, spirituality, and electronic music.
We operate in Toronto and Vancouver, and are hoping to build stronger cultural ties between both cities.
