Saturday April 12th is one of the few times in 2025 that the Full Moon lands on a Saturday, so we're hosting a masquerade, and you're invited!π CONCEPT π
Masquerades have long held an important function in society - breaking down barriers of class, gender, ethnicity and challenging social norms.
Masks have allowed rich and poor to gather in the same space, neither aware of the other's status. Allowed unescorted women to mingle in the company of men. They allowed gender swapping and cross-dressing in less tolerant times. Masquerades even provided opportunities for the assassination of royalty and nobility!
In our time, the wearing of masks and costumes continues to be an interesting social experiment. By subverting non-verbal communication, we can experiment with new forms of connection.

π LOCATION π
This time around, the event will be held in a beautiful new industrial space near Keele and St Clair that we were recently introduced to.
It features hardwood floors, exposed brick, and huge bay windows. We can't wait until you see it! It's very classy, and the perfect location for a modern, electronic music, masquerade.
Expect the space to be further transformed by immersive deco, as is normal for SubLunar events, so as to create an out-of-this-world experience.
At 3:00am, the party will move, as usual, to the SubLunar Community Arts Space at 1655 Dufferin where it will continue, well into the morning.
π TICKETS π
We are doing our best to make ticket prices affordable, so as to make our scene sustainable. Particularly during the current, difficult economic times.
Tickets are $20
Door sales will be $25
Ticket link TBA soon!
π SNACKS π
Sharing food is one of the oldest ways humans have to connect with one another, so at all of our events, we endeavor to have some food or snacks for people to enjoy together.
If anyone wants to BRING some food and snacks, or help make some with us, please get in touch!
π CONSENT CULTURE π
Our community celebrates the importance of consent culture. We expect that interactions between participants (and this includes more than just sexual advances) are to be based on communication, checking for consent, and respect. If youβre unsure about an interaction or unsure if you have consent, please remember to ask first.
Remember, only an ongoing, positive, enthusiastic response means Yes!
Please bring any concerns you may have to our organizers and clearly marked vibe-patrol volunteers, or e-mail sublunar.toronto@gmail.com
