About this Event
Style as Resistance: Fashion, Identity & Black Cultural Storytelling
Join art educator Ashlin Randolph for a reflective, hands-on workshop exploring identity, memory, and self-expression through fashion and visual storytelling, set in a beautiful outdoor garden at IMASALA Collective.
Together, we’ll explore how style can function as a powerful form of self-expression, memory, and resistance within Black cultural contexts. Through guided prompts, conversation, and collage, participants will create a personal piece that reflects their story, style, and cultural influences.
Expect a welcoming, community-centered experience that blends reflection, dialogue, and creative practice. You’ll leave with a meaningful visual piece and a deeper connection to your own narrative and sense of style.
