A taped 30 minutes is the tradition in stand up to introduce a comic's story. I'm so excited to host mine in my hometown, Chicago.
About this Event

STUTI is a 30 min comedy special about being Indian trailer trash, raised evangelical and loving Christmas, family, queerness, immigration struggles being raised undocumented in Devon in Chicago, literary humor, and community organizer beef.

30 has been on my mind. I lived alone in the Mojave Desert this past summer for 30 days and 30 nights (like Jesus...). I'm turning 30 in two years. And I've finally gotten the bravery to put together my 30 minutes of stand up comedy.

I've been doing comedy since I was 20 years old in Chicago, back when they had to mark my hands with X's to make sure that I didn't drink. (Didn't work, I still became an alcoholic oops and cured myself. No, God cured me actually. I'm kidding. Friends and love cured me and discipline and getting your ass kicked by the universe)

This event will be a live taping of my debut 30 minutes of good old fashioned stand up comedy.

DIRECTOR: Odinaka Ezeokoli

HOST: Remy Guzman

PRODUCERS: Joshua Deleon, Luz Magdaleno Flores

SPECIAL THANKS TO: The Neofuturist Theater, Rivka Yeker, & the hosts Victoria and Kristi at Cole's for bumping me and letting me try out material in this wasteland lanscape of white men comedy that has overtaken Chicago post-pandemic, the Chicago Music Scene for helping me stay excited about creating when I was still feeling very distant from stand up these past couple years.

DOORS: 7:15

SHOW STARTS: 7:45 SHARP. Black & Brown people time - this is strict. I hate the stereotype that we are always late - we aren't. We just gotta know whether we have wiggle room and I'm saying you have 15 minute wiggle room but the show is starting at 7:45. Please don't text me day of when I'm freaking out and asking me if I can push it back.

THERE WILL BE MERCH - screenprinted posters :) $15
