KCEATS & friends proudly present the first-ever annual City-Wide Solidarity Drive, to collect food and supplies for those in our community who continue to face rising costs and worsening food insecurity every day. The collection will take place at the National WWI Museum and Memorial on Saturday, November 22nd from 12–4 PM, with volunteers and neighbors coming together to collect donations ahead of the holidays.
We will be taking donations on the east side of the U drive at the National WWI Museum and Memorial, off of Memorial Drive.
🎟️ As a thank you, you’ll receive a BOGO ticket voucher for admission to the National WWI museum and memorial from our generous hosts!!!
Our drive is sponsored by Boots on the Ground Midwest, the Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth, the Kansas City chapter of the Democratic Socialists of America, Hartzell Gray, DC Okonta, 50501KC and Do Something MO.
Suggested donation items include:
Soups (full meals in a can), can openers
Baby Formula
Shelf stable milk (oat, almond, powdered, etc.)
Pet food
Canned fruits & proteins
Toiletries like shampoos for all hair types, toothpaste, toilet paper
Pasta, rice & dry grains
Peanut butters and pasta sauces
Boxed meals & cereals
Shelf-stable milks & juice
Kids snacks (all ages needed)
Diapers, Wipes, Meds
Condiments/Spices, Cake mixes
