About this Event
Drive-in Dreams is a hands-on shadow box workshop inspired by the textures, imagination, and storytelling at the heart of lowrider culture. Participants will create their own illuminated miniature “dream box,” using collage, faux fur, lace, and custom imagery drawn from the world of cruising, custom interiors, and Southern California nostalgia. Led by Lived-in artist Jaqueline Valenzuela, whose practice blends lowrider aesthetics, domestic materials, and narrative symbolism, the workshop invites participants to build a small, glowing scene that reflects their personal memories, style and sense of place. Ages 10+
The program begins promptly at the stated time. Registration is recommended but not required. All materials are provided.
