Students, Seniors & Stars Perform Free Concert in Rockville June 7

Enjoy a free concert June 6th featuring outstanding student, senior, and star musicians all playing with the Rockville Brass Band. Our students hail from colleges and area high schools. Our soloists are members of one of the nation’s premier military bands: euphonist Andrew Ribo, and trumpeter Susan Rider. 

The Rockville Brass Band and its guests will showcase the musical range of the British-style brass band. On the program are works that celebrate the nation – Liberty Fanfare and American Salute – and its popular culture – from Birdland and Bohemian Rhapsody to For Good (from Wicked) and a Mancini medley. Our soloists will perform classics: Carnival of Venice, Trumpeter’s Lullaby, and All Those Endearing Young Charms.

Students and seniors can register until May 23rd to rehearse with the Band and participate in a brass clinic with our soloists June 6. In addition, students can submit solo recordings in a competition for scholarships, which we will award on stage June 7.
