Hello fellow clarinet students of Professor Ginsberg! This is an event that we would like for a ton of alumni to attend (non-clarinetists included). Let's celebrate the man, the myth, the legend himself and his remarkable career. If you know Ginsberg, there is nothing he loves more than to play clarinet, especially with his students.
Not only will Ginsberg be giving a recital, but he has selected "St. Paul's Suite - Gustav Holst" arranged by Roger Garrett as a clarinet choir piece. He would like for us (students past and present) to join him on COFAC stage!
SO... Dust off your clarinets, pick your best reeds, and come back to Macomb on March 30th!!
March 30th Call Sheet:
- Arrive at COFAC for coffee, pastries, and fruit @ 10-11:30 am.
- 11:30 set up on COFAC stage.
- REHEARSE with Ginsberg in COFAC @ 12 pm sharp. We will roughly have a 1 - 2 hour rehearsal.
- Ginsberg will then rehearse his pieces and the quartet.
(You can keep any clarinets and equipment in the “Area of Refuge”.)
- 3pm - Recital starts. 4 solo pieces, clarinet quartet, then we would perform our piece with him at the end.
