Photo Submission Due: April 13 before 5:00PM
Students, parents and teachers are invited to The Nora School for a student workshop, exhibition and awards ceremony.
Entries will be judged by a panel of professional photographers with awards for first, second, and third place, with honorable mentions and two cash awards ($250) for creativity and social justice themes.
Categories are People, Places, Things, and Other.
The event opens at 10:30 am and the student workshop is at 11:00 am, taught by a professional photographer.
Our awards ceremony follows and all are invited to enjoy the exhibition of all student entries that morning, ending at 12:30.
Submission Guidelines • All photographs must be work of students in public, private, and parochial schools, grades 6-12. No entry fee is required. • Limit of 2 entries per person • Only printed and matted photos, delivered to The Nora School by the deadline, will be accepted for entry into the Festival. Total size including mat/mount cannot be larger than 16x20 inches. No frames please! • Photographs may be in Color or Black and White, and may be digitally printed or darkroom processed. • The entry form must be filled out clearly and neatly and affixed to the back of each mat board. • A team of professional photographers will judge the photos, based on originality, interest of subject matter, visual appeal, and technical merit. The decisions of the judges will be final. • Students who attend the exhibition will receive a Festival t-shirt.
