About the event

Our Student Open Nights showcase the vast range of educational opportunities in addiction on offer through Turning Point. Attendees are able to tour the site, engaging with and learning about what the centre offers, and how it changes lives and helps to fight stigma in the community each and every day.

Presentation Session: In our Presentation Session, engage with our range of interdisciplinary staff across both education and research, and hear direct from former and current students about how their experiences at Turning Point have shaped their readiness for the workforce.

Information Stands: For a personalised one-on-one chat, visit the Information Stands to learn more about the range of opportunities on offer, find out how they support your career path in the alcohol and other drugs sector, and how to navigate the applications process.

Site Tours: For a behind-the-scenes look at the work that Turning Point does, join one of two Site Tours available across the evening. Learn more about how Turning Point engages in work across each of the clinical, research, and education spaces, as well as its 24/7 phone and digital support services.

About us

Based in Melbourne, is Australia’s leading national addiction treatment, education and research centre, operated in collaboration between Monash University and Eastern Health.

From its beginnings in 1994 to present day, Turning Point continues to maintain a clear focus on innovation and excellence across the areas of treatment, research and education, working to drive change in policy and practice that builds hope, saves lives, and helps transform the lives of the many Australians affected by addiction.

To achieve its vision, Turning Point employs a multidisciplinary cohort of clinicians, researchers, and education and training officers focused on the most up-to-date methodologies within addiction.
