Join us Monday March 24th between 5:30pm-6:30pm at the Beale Street Studios to Interview to be our next Beale Street Theater Student Director!Director Sidney Valdez and a panel of previous student directors will be hosting Student Director Interviews for students ages 14-19 who are interested in learning the role of an artistic director while producing a show! We are looking to fill two student directors role for separate casts of our upcoming production of How I Became a Pirate. No preparation is required for the interview, a resume would be appreciated but not required. If you have any questions please email us at [email protected].
The role of a student director:
With Director Valdez’s guidance student director’s will be able to interview and assemble their own production crew, host auditions and assemble their own casts, block through the show, and more while learning invaluable skills throughout the way! Over the years we have had the pleasure of working with some of the best student leaders and we can’t wait to bring on more incredible young leaders.
Important dates: Student director candidates must be available for tech crew interviews on Thursday March 27th, and auditions April 7th, and 8th. Rehearsals will be every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday evening, with Performances on June 6, 7, or 13th, and 14th.
