We are looking for students interested in helping backstage for our production of How I Became A Pirate. We are looking for potential stage managers, assistant stage managers, choreographers, and more to join our student directors for both cast A and B! Interview with us Thursday March 27th between 5:30pm-6:30pm, at the Beale Street Studios. Director Sidney Valdez and student directors of cast a and b of How I Became A Pirate will be hosting Student Technician Interviews for students ages 12-18 who are interested in learning the roles of stage managers, choreographers, etc while producing a show! We are looking to fill two stage manager roles, two assistant stage manager roles, two choreographers and more for separate casts of our upcoming production of How I Became a Pirate. No preparation or experience is required for the interview, a resume would be appreciated but not required. If you have any questions please email us at [email protected].
The role of a stage manager and other backstage tech:
With Director Valdez’s guidance support the student director’s and cast by assisting with auditions, casting the show, taking down blocking notes/attendance, learning how to work the sound board and mics, costuming, and much more!
Important Dates: Technicians must be available for all rehearsals on Monday, Wednesday, Friday evenings. Must be available for auditions on April 7th and 8th, performances on June 6, 7, 13th, 14th.
