The Description
Do you know if the life of your church helps to grow CONSUMERS or DISCIPLES? Have current church structures frustrated you? Are you looking for concrete and practical ways to multiply disciples that uses wisdom from Jesus’ own engagement with social realities? As COVID has disrupted many of our normal practices, whether you’re a church planter just starting out or an established pastor considering how to remission your community for the changing world around us, this learning series will help you to practically move the people in our church from Consumers to Disciples, who multiply disciples.
During this Immersion, we will guide you into developing sustainable environments where disciples will flourish in the world for the mission of God.
The Flow
(Thursdays 5:30 - 6:30pm ET; Feb 13, 20, 27 March 6, 13, 20)*
Week 1: Multiplying Disciples - The Four Spaces of Belonging
Week 2: Personal Space - From Small Groups to Equipping Disciples
Week 3: Social Space - From Community to Communities on Mission
Week 4: Intimate Space - From Being Unknown to Being Known
Week 5: Public Space - From Idolizing or Demonizing to Reimagining
Week 6: Conclusion: Are We Multiplying Disciples for God's Movement?
*RECORDINGS: With your ticket, you will receive the recordings of each session in case you are unable to attend on Engage Spaces.
The Rhythm (6 Weeks):
STEP ONE: You will be sent original material and an audio/visual element through an online platform called Engage Spaces.
STEP TWO: You will enter a short reflective exercise onto your personal (private) profile.
STEP THREE: You will attend a live group coaching call with JR Woodward and Uday Balasundaram.
The Cost:
$99 for all 6 weeks of immersive training (includes material, videos, and 6 live coaching sessions).
The Coaches:
JR Woodward Ph.D. (University of Manchester, UK) loves to awaken people to join God in the renewal of all things. He is a catalyst who has been passionately starting churches and ministries for the good of the world for over thirty years. He co-founded Missio Alliance and currently serves as the National Director for the V3 Church Planting Movement. He is an adjunct professor at several seminaries and universities, including Central Seminary, Missio Seminary, and America Evangelical University. He is the co-founder of the Praxis Gathering, and serves on six different boards, including Reliant Mission, Missio Alliance, and Fuller Global Mission Advisory Council. He is the author of and co-author of . His most recent book, , is based on his PhD research and written to provide a remedy to the problem of domineering leadership in the church. He loves to surf, travel, read, and skateboard, as well as meet new people. He enjoys photography and film and tries to attend the Sundance Film Festival whenever he can.
Uday Balasundaram Ph.D., EMBA, is an Associate Professor of Missional and Multicultural Ministry at Indiana Wesleyan University, Wesley Seminary, IN. He also shares his passion as an Arts Catalyst with the Lausanne Movement. Uday is the founder of ECCLÉ, a visionary platform dedicated to reshaping missions through the power of creativity. Through ECCLÉ, Uday collaborates with like-minded individuals and organizations to build a more just and beautiful world by providing training, mentorship, and a platform for shared knowledge and resource exchange.
