Join the Shingle Creek Victory Council for a fun, empowering, and community-driven self-defense and situational awareness workshop!
Whether you’re new to self-defense or looking to brush up on your skills, this workshop is designed for everyone — from teens to seniors. Led by Krav Maga instructors Gail Boxrud and Dante Pastrano, you’ll learn practical techniques to build confidence, stay safe, and protect yourself and your community
What You’ll Learn:
- Self-defense basics: Easy-to-learn techniques for personal protection.
- Situational awareness: How to stay alert and make safe choices in everyday situations.
- Confidence-building: Empowering strategies to help you feel secure and ready for anything.

Event Details:
- Date: Saturday, June 27th, 2026
- Time: 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM (Check-in starts at 10:30 AM)
- Location: On Victory Memorial Parkway (located directly behind Loring Elementary School) join us on the green space at the with tent.
- Registration: This event is first-come, first-served. Please register early to secure your spot!
Note: You must sign a waiver to participate. Please arrive on time to complete the waiver before the session begins.
What to Bring:
- Comfortable clothing (athletic wear recommended)
- Comfortable shoes (tennis shoes recommended)
- Water bottle to stay hydrated
- Chair or a blanket
