About this Event
Strong Hearts, Strong Bodies: A Family Fun Workshop
Join us for The Community Classroom at Garden of Knowledge, our parent-led learning series where families share their careers, cultures, and life skills to create meaningful, real-world learning experiences for children and caregivers together.
This month, we’re excited to welcome GOK parent and physician Dr. Krystle Johnson for a joyful, hands-on workshop focused on heart health, movement, and wellness — all through play!
During Strong Hearts, Strong Bodies, children and caregivers will move, dance, explore, and discover how our hearts work and how doctors help keep our bodies healthy. Through interactive games, music, and imaginative “doctor play,” families will learn simple, everyday habits that build lifelong wellness.
While children engage in fun, age-appropriate activities, caregivers will gain practical tips and tools to support healthy routines at home.
This special workshop also celebrates Black History Month and American Heart Health Month, highlighting health, representation, and community care; planting seeds for lifelong strength in our youngest learners.
Bring the kids (ideal for ages 2-8 yrs old), enjoy some laughs, and discover how to keep our hearts happy! Don’t miss this family-friendly event filled with great energy, meaningful learning, and strong community connections!
This free event begins at 10:00 a.m. at Garden of Knowledge Day Care & Learning Center located at 1657 Nostrand Ave, Brooklyn, N.Y. 11226. Refreshments will be served.
