Our regular bowl turning with a bit of pizzazz! These blanks have been glued up with contrasting woods, so if you’ve ever admired wooden bowls and wondered how to make them, here is your opportunity! We will guide you step by step through the process of turning your own bowl on the lathe with Rockler’s easy-to-use carbide turning tools. You’ll learn about stock selection, chucking, and different bowl finishes. At the end of the day, you’ll have a bowl to take home! All class participants receive a 15% discount on merchandise purchased in the store on the same day of their class. Exclusions apply. Students should come properly attired for a woodworking class (tight fitting clothing, long hair restrained and constrained from the face); and bring or wear provided industry standard hearing protection and safety glasses during equipment operation. All woodworking classes are held in a store that sells a wide variety of woods, including exotic woods such as cedar, aromatic cedar and other products (e.g., finishes, cleaners, etc.) that may cause allergic or other reactions in a small number of cases. Each student should carefully consider their health and reaction to products around them when signing up for this or any of the Rockler woodworking classes. Considering a 1-on-1 private Instruction?
