Open to all young string players (violin, viola, cello, double bass).The Strings Fun Day is aimed at beginners up to Grade 2 level. It is particularly suitable for any child who is currently receiving (or recently participated in) whole-class tution through their school. The event is FREE of charge for children attending an Ebor Academy Trust school or York Music Centre. For all other students the fee is just £10 for the day.
All participants will need to bring their instrument (or request one from us) and a packed lunch. Water and biscuits will also be provided free.
There will be a showing for parents at 2.45pm.
As the Fun Day is a school day, parents will need to get permission for their child to be absent from school. We will also be informing all schools of these events to ensure that the headteacher is sympathetic to the huge educational value of these opportunities (i.e. it is NOT a day off!).
Led by experienced, professional tutors as well as a member of staff for pastoral care.
