This one-of-a-kind concert offers a precious chance to witness a world-class musician: Erhu Maestro Jiebing Chen. Jiebing is one of the foremost Erhu virtuosos in the world. She was the first to bring Erhu into the symphonic concert hall. She was the first artist of Chinese instrument nominated for Grammy Best World Music Album.

Jiebing began performing at age 5 and was admitted to Chinese Navy Orchestra at age 9. She was the youngest performer to be named National First Rank Performing Artist, the highest honor of the Chinese government award to artists. Jiebing graduated with top honor from the Shanghai Conservatory of Music. She was praised as “Marvelous Strings” as she performed across the world since 1985. She went to the State University of New York in Buffalo in 1989 and got her master degree in music theory with full scholarship. She collaborated with many renowned American symphony orchestras and music ensembles, revealing the unique charm of Erhu on professional stages and international music festivals. Her captivating performance won the hearts of American audiences, earning her the title of "". In 1997 she was for Best Global Music Album for her jazz improvisations with two other artists.
