About this Event
WORKSHOP DATE: SATURDAY January 25th, 2-4pm
This traditional approach for using up small scraps is improvisational and wild. Building squares of 'string' pieces is a different sewing technique than the other ways we construct patchwork, and can allow more freedom and movement in your designs. This method is also used in more exacting patterns for paper piecing.
All experience levels welcome, fabric, notions, and shared machines provided. Bring your own machine if you would like to use it, or if you don't know how to use it I can show you.
The studio is located in a second-story walk-up, with no elevator. We have a cozy tea and coffee setup and you're welcome to bring your own snacks. Also you can take off your shoes and bring slippers if you are so inclined! Masking is encouraged and KN95 masks are provided. Please arrive on time or a little early so we can make the most of the afternoon.
