About this Event
Temporary or short-term stress is our bodies’ healthy and natural response to a perceived “threat” or challenging circumstance, and is a normal part of our everyday lives. But stress that persists for weeks, months, or years without relief – known as chronic stress - can cause serious and sometimes life-threatening physical and mental health problems, and has been linked to the development of heart disease, depression, diabetes and obesity. Join us to learn more about the impact of chronic stress, and discover how to better manage it through lifestyle and behavior changes. Also included: digital book w/class content & additional resources, paper and digital stress journals/stress diaries.
Leader: Chrissy Carmody is a Certified Health Coach with a Master’s Degree in Public Health, and has earned her Plant Based Nutrition Certificate through the T Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies. She is passionate about helping people to identify and use their own unique motivations, skills, and strengths to build healthy habits, make small but lasting changes, and enjoy a better quality of life. She believes that to achieve real health and wellness, the whole person must be addressed - mind, body, and spirit. She has been plant-based for more than 7 years, and loves to share the ins and outs of her plant-based journey with others!
