About this Event

Join the Farm Alliance of Baltimore for this special class with Cynthia Flores of!

This interactive Movement Workshop covers BETTER body mechanics and movement patterns to decrease injury potential, increase efficiency, and extend career longevity for Farmers.
Topics covered include:

  • overall health related to athlete well-being
  • movement practice of four high-use movement patterns: hinge, squat, push, and pull
  • discussion of kneeling patterns, rotation, and the importance of core stability.

Each participant will leave with tips to improve their overall movement health + wellness. The session will also include a Q&A segment.

About the teacher: For two decades, Cynthia Flores immersed herself in vegetable farming while exploring outdoor education and wilderness medicine. Though she still assists friends on farms and frequents Farmers Markets, her journey has evolved into a focus on strength training, both as a personal pursuit and a profession. With certifications as a Certified Personal Trainer, Functional Movement Systems SFMA I practitioner, and Licensed Massage Therapist specializing in integrative sports techniques, Cynthia founded Labor-Movement in 2020. The organization aims to help farmers improve movement, prolong their careers, and enhance overall well-being.
