Time: 10:30am – 2:30pm
*30 minute break at 12pm
Cost: $70

Workshop Description:
Does your back feel stiff when you wake up, or after a full day at the computer?
Did you know that if you measure your exact height when you wake up in the morning and then
again before you go to bed, you are shorter?
Yikes!
Yes, all of this is normal, even if you don’t have a desk/computer job. But you can lengthen and
strengthen and realign your spine!
However, it’s hard to know exactly what to do, how to do it and then to make yourself do it,
right?
This workshop is designed to help you:
Ease back pain
Learn simple techniques to relax and realign your spine
Gain mobility and freedom across your back (and therefore in your shoulders and hips)
Build inspiration for your (short!) daily back care practice
The first 90 minutes are open to everyone, whatever your level of practice; whether you are a beginner or a yoga teacher, these techniques can enhance your practice and therefore your life.
The 2 hour afternoon session will give Yoga Teachers and YTTs the opportunity to:
Explore the underlying principles of the practice, the “Why” and “How” to bring this work into your practice and teaching.
Problem-solve about effective and approachable ways to work with common sensitivities and conditions.
Practice these teaching strategies in a supportive and fun environment.
Share your questions, thoughts and ideas with the group.
You will leave this workshop with a number of new tools in your toolbox for supporting all of
your students. 3.5 CEU credits available.
