Hood Church and Rhema Word Outreach Center are at it again.
We don’t come into the streets because it’s convenient—we come because love compels us. There are people in our communities who feel forgotten, overlooked, or pushed aside by life’s hardships, and we believe they deserve to be seen, heard, and reminded of their worth. Our presence isn’t about performance or religion—it’s about reaching people right where they are, in real life, in real time, with a real message of hope. We are there because no one is too far gone, and no situation is beyond redemption.
When we preach in the streets, we are simply carrying the heart of Jesus beyond the walls of a building. Throughout the Gospels, Jesus went to the highways, the margins, and the places others avoided—meeting people in their brokenness and restoring them with truth and compassion. That same mission continues today. We are seeking the lost not to judge them, but to remind them that they are still deeply loved by God, that their story is not over, and that there is a way forward no matter how difficult life has been.
Our outreach is also about presence. Sometimes the greatest impact isn’t a sermon—it’s a conversation, a prayer, a meal shared, or someone taking the time to listen. We step into the streets to build relationships, to offer encouragement, and to stand alongside those who may feel alone. Whether someone needs spiritual guidance, practical help, or simply a moment of kindness, we are there to serve with humility and compassion.
At the core of it all, we are there because we believe hope belongs to everyone. We believe transformation is possible. We believe that even in the darkest places, light can break through. And so we go—into the streets, into the struggle, into the lives of people—carrying a message that has the power to heal, restore, and bring new life.
