Street O is a slightly different form of the sport. Competitors will be issued with a map with the course marked on it. They will also be given a sheet with a list of questions, one question for each control. SI timing will only be used to record the time taken.No controls will be in place on any of the courses. Instead competitors need to navigate to the centre of the circles, and then fill in the answers to the questions asked on the sheet issued to each competitor along with the map. The answers will be checked to provide proof of visiting the controls.
Each competitor should remember to bring along a writing implement - a pencil is suggested.
We also recommend competitors bring a torch.
The start window will be 18:30 - 19:15. with a course closing time of 20:00.
Courses on offer are (distances are estimated):
Short 2 k - suitable for beginners, families and juniors.
Medium 3 k *
Long 4.5 k *
*There are road crossings on the two longer courses - the roads are generally quiet in the evening other than Pleasance avenue. Care needs to be taken when crossing the roads.

Pre-entries close at 22:00 on Thursday 5th March. There will be a small number of maps available for entry at the event.
Entry fees for this event are £5 per adult and £2.50 per junior for members of this or another orienteering club and £7 and £3.50 for adult and junior non-members respectively.
