🐸 Strange Salamanders and Funky Frogs: The Lesser Known Amphibians of TexasTexas is famous for its rattlesnakes and white-tailed deer, but what about the weird, wonderful creatures living in its seeps, springs, and forest floors?
This May, Dalton Lawing, Master's student in Biology at Tarleton State University, is giving us a crash course in Texas amphibians with a special focus on the rare and rarely seen. If you think you know Texas wildlife, this talk might surprise you.
Dalton is a born-and-raised Texan whose research passion is herpetology - the evolution and ecology of reptiles and amphibians. When he's not in the lab, he's out in the field searching for herps across the state. He brings the enthusiasm of someone who genuinely can't stop thinking about frogs and salamanders, and honestly, that's exactly the kind of speaker we love.
Come ready to learn something unexpected about the animals sharing this land with us.
