About this Event

Strange Encounters: When an Animal Walks Into a Bar

Join Manchester author Heidi Hinda Chadwick for a playful evening of story, conversation and creative writing at Flok.

We’ll begin with a simple question: have you ever had a strange encounter with a stranger? A conversation that lingered long after it ended?

From there, we’ll explore a short, imaginative writing prompt, beginning with the premise: two strangers meet in a bar, and one of them is not quite what they seem.

Expect a relaxed creative salon where everyone is welcome, whether you write regularly or not.

Heidi Hinda will also read from her debut novella The Story of the Deer Woman, a dark, lyrical Manchester-set folktale about longing, transformation, and the quiet pull of the wild.

Come for stories, a little creative mischief, and a glass of something good.

£5 ticket (redeemable against book purchase on the night)
Limited places to keep the evening intimate.

No writing experience needed ~ curiosity and imagination welcome.
