Strange, but TRUE CRIME
Stranger than fiction: the world’s most shocking and hard-to-believe crime cases.

Show Synopsis

Think you've heard it all? Think again.

Strange, but True Crime invites you into the world of real-life cases that defy belief — where truth proves more astonishing than fiction. Through compelling storytelling and psychological insight, this show explores extraordinary crimes and the people caught at the centre of them.
What’s covered in the show:
Lessons from survivors:
Hear powerful accounts from individuals who have survived life-threatening encounters and gone on to share their experiences. Discover what these stories reveal about awareness, instinct, and resilience.

Behind the mask:
We examine how disguises, costumes, and masks have been used to manipulate, deceive, and avoid detection—including the case of a female, balloon-carrying clown who carried out a fatal attack.
The serial killer who investigated himself:
Explore staggering cases, such as the story of one serial killer who managed to join law enforcement - whilst on the run – and would eventually be tasked with hunting himself.
What type of true crime fan are you?
Why are so many of us interested in true crime? Learn about the reasons behind your interest!

When justice fails:
How can DNA, fingerprints, or eyewitness accounts wrongly implicate an innocent person?
We hear from victims of miscarriages of justice and explore the psychological and procedural factors that can lead to these devastating errors.
