This workshop is intended for University staff and will introduce you to the variety of ways to commercialise research.
Whether you want to set up a company or continue your academic career, come along to understand what’s involved and what it could mean for you. We’ll also go through the University’s processes for protecting IP and supporting spinouts.
Elaine Kearney is a business whisperer, with over twenty years of experience helping founders and young companies to unlock their potential. Her BSc in Applied Chemistry was followed by over 30 years working alongside researchers and innovators across many science and engineering sectors to deliver solutions for real industrial and social challenges.
Elaine has worked in Government, large corporates, research organisations and innovation centres, and is now at the University of Dundee supporting staff and researchers to translate their ideas into opportunities.
