Part of State Library's Stranded take over is Stranded conversations, a music led in-conversation series at The Edge. Join us for 1, 2 or 3 events.

Talk 1: Independent media

6-8 pm, Wednesday 3 December

Listen to our panel discussion on the role of democratic media and community broadcasting in Queensland throughout the last 50yrs, including the birth of 4ZZZ.

Talk 2: Music and culture

6-8 pm, Thursday 4 December

Explore subculture trends through the last 50 years of Queensland. From the music, the fashion, and the art through to technology advancements, including vinyl records to Spotify playlists.

Talk 3: Iconic spaces

2-4 pm, Saturday 6 December

Unpack the stories behind Brisbane’s legendary venues and community spaces. From the 4ZZZ building and history at UQ, White Chairs, Cloudland, Festival Hall, The Roxy/Arena, The Zoo, Rics, DIY venues and beyond.
