Step into 1775 and join the Stow Minutemen on our March to Concord!
This year is America’s 250th anniversary celebration, and you're invited to relive history. Before dawn breaks, we will take to the road, marching the original 9.5-mile route taken by the first patriots in defense of liberty. This isn’t just a reenactment, it's your chance to experience history in motion.
Hear the stirring call of fife and drum
Watch (and feel!) musket fire sound the alarm
Walk in the footsteps of those who answered the call in 1775
Don’t just read about history, be part of it.
We gather at 4:15 am at Stow Lower Common. Step off is 4:30 am, sharp. For a shorter option, meet us halfway at Rideout Playground in Concord at 7:15 am for breakfast. We have a bus for the return journey (at the end of the Concord Parade at the Alcott School). Visit www.stowminutemen.org for our invitation and schedule.
All are welcome to join us, either in colonial dress or just following along. If you plan to follow, have questions, or need to reserve space on the bus, please contact us at [email protected] and we will provide as much detail in advance of this celebration of our history.
This is our signature event. The 250th anniversary spirit will make it the best yet. If you can’t join us, be sure to wave as we go by!
