About this Event

Story Time with Barnaby D. Troll

in Partnership with Book Harvest!

3rd Tuesday of the Month 10:30-11:30 a.m.
April - October
Storytime just got better with friends!

Durham Central Park's free program for preschoolers and their families. Every 3rd Tuesday at The Leaf, Book Harvest will read a favorite children's story, sing a song or two and re-create the story through play and craft making. After Story Time, you can continue to visit Barnaby, Mr. Pickles the Turtle, Rockin' Reuben the Cardinal, and Book Harvest will be giving away free books to enjoy for a lifetime.

  • Best for ages: 2-5 years
  • Parents/caregivers must stay with their child the entire hour and are ultimately responsible for their child's/children's behaviors.

Storytime is every 3rd Tuesday at 10:30 am behind the playground. Here are the 2026 Spring Dates: April 21 | May 19 | June 23

Bring the kids, settle in, and enjoy fun, engaging readings that inspire a lifelong love of books and learning.
