Get excited for spring with a special Storytime at the Museum and craft! Inspired by a true story, Elisa Carbone writes about young Diana Hopkins as she helps plant a Victory Garden on the White House lawn during World War II. It’s a tale of determination, teamwork, and the power of growing something meaningful, even in challenging times.
After the reading, participants can help bring the Museum's new pollinator garden to life with color and kindness! Paint a rock with a positive message, vibrant colors, or fun designs. Once it’s dry, we’ll place it in the garden for everyone to enjoy. Your artwork will help brighten the space for both people and pollinators alike!
This program is intended for children ages 5-9 but is open to all. Parental participation is encouraged, and supervision is required.
This program is free, and registration isn’t required, but we’d love a quick call to let us know you’re coming: (518) 793-2826.
