About this Event
Purnima is a Bollywood dance instructor and leads dances at the annual Natick Holi Festival in Natick Center, a beloved event in our town! This will be a fun way for the smallest participants who want to learn Bollywood dance before the Natick Holi event on May 16th (Save the date and swipe for more details!).
At storytime, Purnima will read the story, “The Festival of Colors” by Surishtha Sehgal and Kabir Sehgal, and illustrated by Vashti Harrison. A little about the story:
It’s time for the Indian festival of Holi, a celebration of the start of spring, of new beginnings, and of good over evil. Friends, families, and neighbors wear white clothing and toss handfuls of brightly colored powders at one another until they’re all completely covered from head to toe!
Young readers will love following the young siblings gathering flowers to make the colorful powders for the big day until—poof!—it’s time for the fun to begin.
Please arrive on time to ensure kids feel comfortable and ready for storytime and the dance lesson.
We hope you can enjoy this special storytime! Register required to join.
