Did you know Kresen Kernow is home to the largest collection of books about Cornwall?From history books to picture books and folk tales we have thousands of books that tell us about Cornwall in the past and the present.
Inspired by stories about Cornwall we are running 12 free family craft sessions, happening once a month during 2026. Explore our library through trails, book displays and family activities. The craft sessions will explore different themes and art techniques, such as puppets and book-making. Before each session we will advertise the different themes for each workshop on here and on our social media.
All the sessions will be run by artist and workshop facilitator, Sophie Stanley-Butcher from Pop Up Paint Pot.
The sessions will take place on the last Saturday of the month from January to December, 10am–12pm at Kresen Kernow.
All sessions are free, drop-in and for all ages. Crafts will be accessible to babies, children and adults. Please note the last session will be on Saturday 19 December 2026.
This project is a collaboration with Redruth Library and is funded by SWRLS.
