StoryShare MK is a brand-new community event, which has been running bi-monthly since October 2025 in Milton Keynes where stories take centre stage at various venues in and around Milton Keynes.
During the summer we will hold events in unique outdoor spaces!
Here’s how it works:
📝 Anyone who attends can put their name in a hat.
🎤 Ten names are drawn to share a five minute personal true story.
👂 The audience listens, connects, and leaves uplifted and inspired.
StoryShare MK builds community one story at a time.
This isn’t about being a polished speaker. It’s about being human. Sharing what matters. Creating a safe, welcoming space where voices are heard and stories are celebrated.
This is a "Moth inspired" event.
Sometimes we’ll set a theme. Other times, the floor is open. April’s theme is "The Moment I Stepped In."
It could be a moment you were brave…
a moment you said yes…
or even a moment you didn’t feel ready, but did it anyway.”
You’ll also pick up simple techniques for shaping short stories that make an impact.
Doors open 5.45pm, put your name in the hat if you wish to speak and get ready for your swim / dip. Story sharing begins at 6.30pm. Event finishes at 7.30pm
👉 Feedback from previous event:
‘An amazing first StoryShare MK where personal stories took centre stage….Attendees were invited into an intimate space where storytelling reigned supreme. The evening wasn’t about polished performances or rehearsed narratives; instead it was a heartfelt celebration of humanity, vulnerability, and the diverse voices that enrich our lives…. This was more than just an event, it was a movement towards understanding, acceptance, and growth.’ Kam Sehajpal, ACR
