About this Event
Story Day: Mutual Care is a day long event. Inspired by StreetLevel, we are a movement of people motivated by faith in Jesus to coorperatively address the issues that contribute to poverty and injustice. On October 30th we will be asking: how do we take care of ourselves and one another in the context of community? We will discuss the challenges of burnout, compassion fatigue and trauma (vicarious and direct) and explore what self-care looks like when rooted in the context of mutual care. There will be storytelling, theological reflection, music, art, food, and ample time to mingle and connect.
St James Cathedral Event Venue is located in downtown Toronto, on Church Street, just south of Adelaide Street. It meets accessibility criteria for people with mobility needs. You can get to it using the TTC. If you drive, there are public parking lot options within a five minute walk.
The cost of Story Day is $50 (plus fees), which includes lunch, beverages and excellent content. We encourage organizations and churches to send people to this event where possible.
