Stories Under the Stars: Truth Be Told Virginia
Presented in partnership with the Elizabeth River Trail, Virginia Humanities, and the National Park Service, the event centers the spirit of community with the message, “Village is a verb. Come be part of it.”
The evening will begin at 5:00 p.m. with double dutch, lawn seating, and food pickup. The storytelling program will begin at 6:00 p.m.
Guests are encouraged to bring a blanket or lawn chair, grab their food, and settle in for stories that connect people to place, history, and one another. Organizers describe the event as more than a program, it is a shared experience designed to celebrate community through storytelling under the stars.
Truth Be Told has created space for powerful stories rooted in culture, memory, and belonging. This final launch of Season 5 offers an opportunity for residents, families, and supporters to come together in a welcoming outdoor setting and experience the power of story in community.
