The ones we love never truly leave us. Their stories stay. Bring a treasure that carries their memory and share it with our community.
About this Event

Stories That Stay is a heartfelt community evening dedicated to honoring the people and memories that shaped us. Every family has treasures that hold a story—a photo, a letter, a keepsake touched by someone we love. These objects connect us to the moments and voices that came before us.

This gathering invites you to bring one meaningful item and share the story behind it. You’ll hear others do the same, weaving together a tapestry of love, remembrance, and legacy.

Hosted by Ruben, Legacy Advocate, the evening creates space to reflect, connect, and celebrate the lasting influence of those who came before us.

Agenda

🕑: 06:15 PM - 06:30 PM
Arrivals and Mingling

Info: Guests will arrive and settle in with light refreshments, soft background music, and conversation. This time allows everyone to relax, look around, and begin connecting before the stories start.

As people enter, they’ll be invited to sign in, create a name tag, and fill out a “My Treasure’s Story” card with a few notes about the item they brought. You’ll have a chance to greet guests personally, thank them for coming, and set a warm, welcoming tone for the evening.

The goal is simple—to create a space that feels calm, familiar, and open, where people sense that something meaningful is about to happen.

🕑: 06:30 PM - 06:45 PM
Introduction
Host: Ruben

Info: Ruben is a Legacy Advocate who helps families preserve stories, memories, and meaningful details so their legacies live on. His work focuses on connection—reminding people that the things we hold onto often hold the people we’ve loved.

He created Stories That Stay to bring the community together in remembrance, reflection, and storytelling—celebrating the lives that continue to shape us.

🕑: 06:45 PM - 07:45 PM
Sharing Stories

Info: This is the heart of Stories That Stay. Each guest will have a few minutes to share their treasure and the story behind it—a person remembered, a moment that shaped a family, or a keepsake that carries meaning.

We’ll move around the room and do our best to give everyone a chance to share. Whether you speak or simply listen, every story adds to the evening’s meaning.

You’ll laugh, reflect, and recognize pieces of your own story in the experiences of others. It’s not a performance, but a shared remembrance—an hour to keep memories alive and honor the legacies that stay with us.

🕑: 07:45 PM - 08:00 PM
A short closing reflection and thank-you
Host: Ruben

Info: As the evening winds down, we’ll take a few moments to reflect on what was shared—the stories, the laughter, and the memories that filled the room.

You’ll close by thanking everyone for bringing a piece of their history and helping keep those legacies alive. Encourage guests to continue sharing these stories with their families and friends beyond tonight.

This final moment is about gratitude and connection—a gentle reminder that while people may leave with their treasures, they also leave with new stories that stay.
