About this Event
Join us for an event Hosted by USD’s Alliance for Disability Advocates (ADA) and The Natalie Project (#UsToo), the weekend features screenings of the feature length film Color Book and the short documentary NATTY, both directed by filmmaker David F. Fortune, followed by filmmaker conversations, panel discussions, and interactive Human Library experiences with members of the disability community.
Saturday, April 18 | 1 PM -4 PM | Manchester Auditorium
Screening of Color Book (98 minutes) and Q&A with director David F. Fortune, followed by a community reception and Human Library conversations.
Sunday, April 19 | 1 PM -4 PM | Joan Kroc Center for Peace and Justice /Garden of the Sky
Screening of NATTY (18 minutes), filmmaker discussion, and a panel on healthy relationships and safety in the disability community moderated by Emmy Award–winning journalist Elizabeth Espinosa. Hosted by Shahriar Afshar.
The event includes ASL interpretation, captioned films, and ADA-accessible venues, and is open to students, faculty, advocates, professionals, and community members interested in disability justice and inclusive storytelling.
