About this Event
Beginner Storytelling Workshop Series
Ever wanted to tell a great story but didn’t know where to start? This three-part Beginner Storytelling Workshop Series is designed for people who are completely new to storytelling and curious about learning the fundamentals in a supportive, low-pressure environment.
This marks Ottawa StoryTellers’ first beginner workshop series of 2026 and is built to help participants explore how personal stories are shaped, structured, and shared. No prior experience is required. You do not need to perform, and you do not need to arrive with a finished story.
Across three sessions, participants will be introduced to the core building blocks of storytelling, including finding story ideas, shaping true stories, understanding basic structure, and developing confidence in sharing stories aloud. Each workshop builds gently on the previous one, with guided exercises, discussion, and optional sharing.
