Stories & Sips Book Club

After two very contemporary reads, we’re slowing things down this month and settling into a story that feels timeless, tender, and very human. You voted, and we’ll be reading Hamnet by Maggie O’Farrell.

On Monday, February 23rd, from 7–8pm, we’ll gather at Lulu & Flyn with Backstory Bookshop to talk about the book, share thoughts, and enjoy the cozy vibes of being together.

Hamnet is a deeply moving exploration of how a family survives unimaginable loss. Rather than centering on grand events, Maggie O’Farrell focuses on the private, interior world of grief: how it fractures relationships, alters identity, and transforms love itself. The novel traces the subtle ways sorrow lives in the body and reshapes the future.

This is a book that doesn’t rush healing, but honours the quiet, complex work of feeling and remembrance.
